www.facebook.com/pages/Sven-De… I am Sven Deinum, I was born in 1996 and I live in the Netherlands. I have a big passion for cars and drawing. Since I was a little kid I was obsessed with cars, I knew every brand and model, I could name pretty much everything that drove by one the motorway.
Ever since I was big enough to hold a pencil I have been drawing stuff, I always have been very creative. At the age of 12/13 years old I started to take drawing seriously and I mainly focused on drawing cars. I uploaded my drawings to several sites like autodrawings.net and deviantart.com. On these site I met some very talented people who were willing to help me and they gave me great tips to improve my drawings. With these tips I started to try several techniques until I figured out a technique that works for me. I was amazed by the large community behind drawing and I really enjoyed meeting all those amazingly talented people and learning from them. Learning from other people is the best way to improve your skills in my opinion and I love to help people with improving their drawings. It is great to see and follow the progress people make with every drawing.
I have learnt a lot the last years and I am still learning new things with every drawing I make. Thanks to the great people I met on the internet my drawings improved a lot. In the future I would like to improve my portrait drawing skills and maybe try some landscape drawings and backgrounds for the automotive drawings.
At the moment I am in the last year of secondary school (that is how it is called in the Netherlands) and after this year I will go studying, probably something like industrial design. I would love to use my drawing skills in my study or work.
If you have questions about my drawings or on how to improve your own drawings, please feel free to ask me, I love to help people improve their skills.
All my latest drawings are made with the same tools, most of them are drawn on A3 size paper (11.69 × 15.70 inches). The paper I use is Canson Bristol Extra Smooth, this paper is a bit hard to work with but it gives a great result. The pencils I use for black and white drawings are Steadtler Mars Lumograph Graphite Pencils and for the colored drawings I use Faber Castell Polychomos pencils. I have tried a lot of different sorts pencils and papers but the ones I use at the moment are the best so far for me. Beside the paper and the pencils I use Blending Stumps and tissues to blend the graphite and I use Mechanical pencils for all the small details.
